Shivraj Chouhan’s Shift to Delhi Puts Focus on Son Kartikey Chouhan

Last Sunday, Mr. Chouhan, the current Union Agriculture Minister, held an impressive roadshow in Bhopal. The event drew massive crowds and exhibited the people’s admiration for the leader, with supporters lining the streets, waving flags, and cheering for him.

Following this, a workers’ gratitude conference was hosted in Bherunda, Sehore, on Friday. This event was amidst strong speculation that Mr. Chouhan’s son, Kartikey Chouhan, might contest from the Budhni Assembly seat left vacant by his father.

At the conference, Kartikey Chouhan, along with his mother Sadhana Singh, expressed gratitude to the people for his father’s historic victory and the overwhelming support from the Budhni Assembly constituency. Senior Chouhan addressed the gathering through video conferencing.

Kartikey Chouhan utilized the platform to engage with the workers, reflecting on the challenges faced during the 2023 elections and discussing various issues. He emphasized the people’s support and the victory achieved, stating, “I do not see any difference between you, me and Shivraj ji.

We all have many bodies and one soul.” Shivraj Chouhan, also known as Mama (maternal uncle), expressed gratitude for the love and respect shown by the people and assured them that development work would continue uninterrupted.

The enduring popularity of Mr. Chouhan was highlighted by his son, who remarked that the leader remains significant across the country. Conversely, Congress’ Digvijaya Singh downplayed the remarks, suggesting that if Mr. Chouhan’s popularity indeed extends nationwide, the BJP should consider promoting him to the position of Prime Minister.

Amid these celebrations, there is growing speculation that Kartikey Chouhan might be fielded from the Budhni Assembly seat, further cementing the Chouhan family’s influence in the region.
