UP Minister Forced to Leave Village Quickly Due to Controversial Speech Causing Tension

The Minister blamed the police for their inaction in arresting the accused named in FIR lodged by Ramavati Devi, the mother of the victim. Deepu Nishad had been missing since June 14, and his body was recovered on June 15.

The situation escalated when a mob, believed to be members of the Nishad Party, damaged the furniture and motorcycle of the village head and his brothers, who were named in the FIR. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ratnesh Tiwari appealed to the Cabinet Minister to help in maintaining peace.

Enraged over the attack on the house of the village head, hundreds of villagers and supporters of the village head confronted the Minister. The Minister was forced to leave, and the local police officials informed the Deoria Superintendent of Police (SP) Sankalp Sharma, who also required the Minister to move out of the village.

Sanjay Nishad stated that he had arrived in the village to ensure justice for the victims. Deoria SP assured him of the arrest of the accused.

The Minister alleged that some local officials were providing patronage to the accused, who were on bail in another case, and mentioned that the matter would be raised before Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Security around the village was increased due to the proposed visit of the fact-finding committee of the Samajwadi Party on Sunday.
