In response to the situation, the Congress accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of corruption in both the temple construction and civic facilities in Ayodhya. Congress Chief Ajay Rai highlighted the leakage issue in the Ram temple’s sanctum sanctorum and criticized the substandard construction of roads. He further accused the BJP of exploiting Ayodhya for electoral gains and failing to compensate the affected residents.
