The victims have been identified as Rameshbhai Patel (50), the firm’s owner, and Pawan Kumar (25), a worker at the firm. Initial findings suggest that the fire originated in the compressor, located near an LPG gas cylinder, resulting in an explosion. Upon receiving the information, officials from the fire department promptly arrived at the scene to investigate. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for a post-mortem at the nearby civil hospital, while the injured have been admitted to the nearest Arogya Kendra for treatment. The Nikol Fire Station Officer, SS Gadhavi, reported that two casualties and three injuries occurred at the Bansi Powder Coating firm in the Odhav Nagar Industrial area. He explained that the blast was caused by pressure in the oven during hot processing for powder coating. The deceased have been taken to the Civil Hospital for postmortem procedures, while the injured are receiving treatment at the nearest Arogya Kendra. The officer also mentioned the lack of a provision for Fire NOC in the industrial area. Fire NOC, short for No Objection Certificate, pertains to fire safety equipment installation in buildings as per National Building Code (NBC) norms. This certificate verifies a building’s resistance to fire-related accidents and is issued by the respective state fire service. The fire department team and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) are conducting further investigations into the matter. Ahmedabad
