Bihar Government Will Implement Strict Laws to Prevent Exam Paper Leaks admin, June 27, 2024 The deputy CM of Bihar announced that the state is planning to implement a strict law to prevent exam paper leaks. This new law will be presented in the upcoming monsoon session of the state legislature. The aim is to address the increasing number of question paper leaks in Bihar. The monsoon session of the assembly and legislative council is scheduled for five sittings from July 22 to July 26. The central government has already enacted the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 to prevent unfair practices in public examinations and common entrance tests nationwide. The Bihar government has decided to introduce a similar law to combat paper leaks and malpractices in recruitment examinations. Regarding the NEET-UG paper leaks, a CBI investigation is underway and the deputy CM reassured that no one involved will be spared. The suspects were presented before a special court and were remanded to judicial custody. Furthermore, the state was recently affected by a case of paper leak in the Teachers Recruitment Exam (TRE)-3 conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission. In the midst of these events, there is uncertainty surrounding the whereabouts of an alleged solver gang member who was a student of AIIMS-Jodhpur. This individual had appeared for another candidate at a NEET-UG exam center in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district. Although caught during biometric attendance, the student was allegedly allowed to leave after providing a written apology. The police have been unable to locate the accused despite visiting his family and the institute’s administration in Jodhpur.
