According to him, the airport will span across a 2000-acre area with a capacity to accommodate 30 million passengers annually. Furthermore, it was mentioned that a master plan for the development of Hosur is near completion, indicating the region’s evolution from a hub for electronic, automobile, and automotive component manufacturing to an emerging hotspot for electric vehicle and related component production. Stalin reiterated the government’s stance on the airport’s importance, highlighting its significance in fostering economic growth and development in Hosur, as well as in the neighboring districts of Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri. He pointed out that industrialists and domestic passengers from this area currently heavily rely on the Bengaluru airport for both domestic and international travel.
