Andhra Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s Refusal to Take Salary Due to State’s Financial Crisis

The Deputy Chief Minister recently addressed officials at his camp office. They inquired about renovation and furniture purchase, but he declined these privileges. He instructed them not to proceed with any renovation or repairs, nor to procure new furniture unless absolutely necessary.

Instead, he stated that he would provide the furniture himself if needed. Additionally, he mentioned that he could not accept the salary. Mr. Kalyan, who heads the Panchayat Raj Department as a minister, expressed that it lacks sufficient funds, which led him to refuse these privileges.
