The Bishnoi Gang’s Plot to Assassinate Salman Khan with Zigana Guns for Rs 25 Lakh

The Bishnoi gang has been implicated in the Salman Khan firing case, with the Navi Mumbai Police charging individuals associated with the gang for conspiracy to commit murder and other serious offenses. The incident, which took place on April 14, involved two men on motorbikes firing multiple rounds outside Mr. Khan’s residence in Bandra, resulting in the arrest of several suspects. The charge sheet details that the Bishnoi gang had allegedly issued a contract worth Rs 25 lakh to eliminate the actor, a plan that was formulated over several months from August 2023 to April 2024.

Investigations have indicated that the gang sought to procure advanced firearms from Pakistan, such as AK-47s, AK-92s, M16 rifles, and the Turkish-made Zigana pistol, which was used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. The conspiracy extended beyond acquiring weapons, encompassing a meticulously orchestrated surveillance operation involving a network of approximately 60 to 70 individuals who closely monitored Mr. Khan’s movements, including at his Mumbai residence, Panvel farmhouse, and Goregaon Film City. The charge sheet also alleges that minors below the age of 18 were recruited to carry out the assassination, awaiting instructions from key figures in the gang, Goldie Brar and Anmol Bishnoi, who are believed to be based in North America.

Following the shooting incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured the actor of government support, emphasizing that those responsible would be held accountable and condemning the targeting of individuals in such a manner. He also pledged to combat gang-related violence, vowing to take decisive action against the Bishnoi gang.
