Senior Superintendent of Police Ankur Gupta confirmed the arrests and informed that an FIR had been lodged against the accused. It was revealed that Lovepreet, Harpreet, and Sandeep Arora were arrested the previous night, and four grams of ice were recovered. Harpreet Singh, 33, and Lovepreet Singh tested positive for drugs, which were purchased from Sandeep Arora, a Ludhiana-based alleged drug supplier. Both individuals are from Amritsar, and the drugs were found during a car inspection. The accused were caught consuming drugs in the car, with drug paraphernalia recovered from the spot. The contraband was discovered in Harpreet Singh’s pocket. Tarsem Singh, the father of Amritpal, one of the accused, denied the allegations against his son and sought a fair investigation, claiming it was a conspiracy against their family and supporters. Amritpal Singh won the Khadoor Sahib seat and was previously arrested for his involvement in an incident at Moga’s Rode village, where he posed as Bhindranwale 2.0.
