The message from the Pakistani official, who claimed to be from the post-mortem department, informed them that the body was recovered from a canal in Sialkot in Punjab province on June 13 and had already been buried. The official also sent Nagotra’s identity card through WhatsApp, confirming the body’s identity. Nagotra’s father, Subash Sharma, requested the prime minister’s help in repatriating his son’s body for the last rites. They have sought help from various government authorities and also appealed to Pakistani authorities to return the body.
