Indore Breaks World Record by Planting 1.1 Million Saplings in One Day admin, July 14, 2024 The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, recently received the official certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records. Expressing pride in Indore’s achievement, he congratulated the citizens for breaking the record for the most trees planted in a single day, with over 11 lakh saplings. The event took place at the plantation site Revati Range, which was divided into 9 zones and 100 sub-zones and was monitored through 100 cameras. Nishchal Barot, a consultant for Guinness World Records, confirmed that the previous record of 926,000 saplings in 24 hours was held by Assam. He added that Indore had broken the record at 5:00 pm during the plantation event on July 13. The preparation for this mega plantation drive took around 46 days, with Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya overseeing the arrangements and addressing the press. He and Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava extended congratulations to the citizens and various organizations, including BSF soldiers, for their participation.
