Pune Road Rage Case: Woman on Scooter with 2 Kids Punched and Left Bleeding

The police have stated that they are currently in the process of registering a complaint. A woman, Jerlyn D’Silva, a digital content creator, shared a video detailing her experience of being assaulted. She mentioned that while riding a scooter with her children, a man in a car had been aggressively tailing them for nearly 2 kilometers on the Pashan-Baner Link Road.

She explained that despite staying to the left of the road and trying to avoid hindering the car, the man overtook her and abruptly stopped in front of her scooter. Jerlyn recounted that the man emerged from the car in a furious manner, punching her and pulling her hair, while showing no concern for the safety of her children. The Chaturshringi Police Station official informed that the woman was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the process of registering a formal complaint is ongoing.

This incident occurred precisely two months after a 17-year-old, allegedly driving under the influence, fatally collided with two 24-year-old techies in Pune. The perpetrator is currently out on bail. Additionally, this week, a 25-year-old, allegedly intoxicated son of a politician, collided with a poultry truck while speeding in his SUV, causing serious injuries to its two occupants.

He fled the scene but was eventually apprehended, and a case has been filed against him.
