Pune and Maharashtra Floods: Live Updates on 3 Electrocuted and Heavy Rain in Mumbai

Continuous rainfall in the catchment area of Khadakwasla Dam resulted in the dam reaching its full capacity. Consequently, the Pune administration increased the speed and released the water into the Mutha River on Thursday at 6 a.m. at a rate of 40,000 cusecs. This was after water was released at a speed of 27203 cusecs at 4 am on the same day. Residents living along the riverbanks have been issued an alert to be cautious.

In addition to this, heavy rains in Pune on Wednesday night led to water entering houses and buildings in Ekta Nagri and Vitthal Nagar areas.
