Rajasthan Teacher Suspended for Advising Tribal Women Against Wearing Mangalsutra and Sindoor admin, July 25, 2024 An action was taken against a teacher for violating the Rajasthan Conduct Rules and tarnishing the Education Department’s image. The incident occurred at a mega rally on July 19 at the Mangarh Dham in Banswara. During the rally, Ms. Damor made a controversial statement regarding tribal women not following Hindu traditions, which sparked objections from the tribal society. Following the objections, the Joint Director of the Education Department suspended the teacher, Ms. Damor. She is also a founder of the Adivasi Parivar Sanstha and is currently posted at the Government Higher Secondary School, Saadaa. The rally was attended by thousands of people from tribal communities in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
