2 Students Killed, 13 Injured in UP After Pickup Van Collides with Truck

Several teenagers, aged between 12 and 17, from a private school in Ballia were involved in a tragic accident, as reported by the police. The incident occurred when the driver of an overspeeding pickup van lost control and collided with a parked truck near Kapuri Narayanpur village on the Ballia-Phephana road. The collision resulted in fatalities, with Yash Pratap Singh (16) dying at the scene and Vishal Pratap Singh (17) succumbing to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.

The remaining injured victims were promptly taken to the district hospital, with two of them reported to be in critical condition. The District Magistrate (DM) Praveen Kumar conveyed the details of the incident, stating that all the injured teenagers were rushed to the hospital, and officials from the police and administration subsequently visited the hospital to assess the situation.
