The communique also announced that Om Prakash Mathur will be the new governor of Sikkim, taking over from Acharya. Additionally, C P Radhakrishnan, the former Governor of Jharkhand and Telangana, has been appointed as the Governor of Maharashtra, succeeding Ramesh Bais. Santosh Kumar Gangwar will replace Radhakrishnan as the Governor of Jharkhand. Jishnu Dev Varma, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, has been appointed as the new Telangana governor. K Kailashnathan, a former IAS officer and trusted aide of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been appointed as the Lt Governor of Puducherry. He will assume office from the date he takes charge. This follows his resignation as the chief principal secretary to the Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on June 30, after holding the post for over a decade. Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, a senior BJP leader from Maharashtra, has been appointed as the governor of Rajasthan, succeeding Kalraj Mishra. Ramen Deka, a former Lok Sabha member from Assam, will serve as the Governor of Chhattisgarh, while C H Vijayashankar, the former Lok Sabha member from Mysore in Karnataka, will be the new Meghalaya governor.
