BJP Chief Ministers Advised to Implement Central Schemes “Thoroughly and Completely admin, July 28, 2024 Chief ministers of BJP-ruled states recently attended the two-day conclave “Mukhyanantri parishad.” They were instructed not to dilute Central schemes and to fully implement them as intended by the Central government. States were also asked to work in coordination with the Centre and strive together to achieve targets. The Centre emphasized that its message of welfare and development should be uniformly reflected in the governance of the states. The meeting was viewed as the first collective introspection exercise by the BJP after the Lok Sabha elections. It was attended by 13 chief ministers and 15 deputy chief ministers. The BJP faced setbacks in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Haryana, all of which are ruled by the BJP or NDA. States were strictly directed to utilize the allocated funds without making modifications to them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of complete scheme implementation, fund utilization, and collaboration with the Centre. The Centre has numerous flagship schemes related to affordable housing, sanitation, free ration, skilling, and scholarships, which are implemented nationwide. The meeting was attended by PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP president JP Nadda, and BJP national organization secretary BL Santhosh. The agenda included discussions on the saturation of Centre’s welfare schemes, the goal of achieving a $5 trillion economy, and integrating development with heritage. Furthermore, the meeting addressed best practices of good governance. Specifically, the meeting highlighted Assam’s government job recruitment drive, Uttar Pradesh’s rural records digitization efforts, and Bihar’s initiatives to ensure transparency in coal mining.
