The Chief Justice mentioned a case where a couple decided to live together happily during the pre-Lok Adalat sitting, and the wife expressed her contentment, thus dismissing her maintenance claims. The Chief Justice emphasized that the Lok Adalat aims to settle small cases, such as service, labor disputes, land acquisition, and motor accident claim cases. He also highlighted the significance of bar members and judges working together in the Lok Adalat panel, uniting their efforts to ensure justice for citizens involved in these small cases. The Chief Justice expressed hope for the institutionalization of Lok Adalat within the Supreme Court. Mr. Sibal praised the move of setting up Lok Adalat and emphasized its importance.
