The victims were identified as Bhanu Prasad, 50, and his wife Neelam Devi, 45. The incident resulted in the temporary closure of a path, leaving nearly 200 pilgrims stranded in Bhim Bali. Emergency services, including SDRF, district police, and local officials, quickly responded, transferring the stranded pilgrims to a safer location. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the Bhim Bali cloudburst incident. The continuous rainfall led to a sudden rise in the water level of the Mandakini River. Consequently, authorities took action to evacuate the Gaurikund temple, ensuring the safety of the people at risk. The NDRF, SDRF, police, and other emergency services, including hospitals, are on high alert in the area. Rudraprayag District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar confirmed that the cloudburst at Bhim Bali on the Kedarnath walking path caused a landslide, damaging around 20-25 meters of the path. Fortunately, about 200 pilgrims were safely accommodated at Bhimbali GMVN. There has been no loss of life, and the water level of the Mandakini River continues to rise rapidly. Consequently, the Gauri Mata temple in Gaurikund has been evacuated, and devotees have been relocated to a safer place.
