Trinamool demands the minister’s resignation due to his misconduct with a female officer.

The Trinamool Congress has taken action following widespread public outrage over the behavior of one of its ministers. The minister’s conduct also upset the party’s top leadership. Trinamool Congress state chief Subrata Bakshi conveyed the message on behalf of the party to Akhil Giri. Party spokesperson Dr. Santanu Sen stated that the party does not support the minister’s misbehavior toward a lady forest officer and emphasized that the minister had also spoken to the officer.

Dr. Santanu Sen further criticized the BJP and the CPM for their past actions against women. The minister in question has a reputation for making controversial statements, and the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had previously apologized for his offensive remarks about President Droupadi Murmu. The latest incident occurred during an eviction drive in Tajpur in East Midnapore district, where the minister was recorded threatening a lady officer. It is noteworthy that the Trinamool Congress had previously described Akhil Giri’s conduct as unfortunate.
