Arrest Made After Man Sends Threatening Mail to Blow Up Bihar Chief Minister’s Office admin, August 5, 2024 It is not yet clear why the man sent a threatening email on July 16, as he claimed in the email to be associated with Al-Qaeda, though preliminary investigation did not find any link with a terror group. The man was arrested in Bowbazar area of Kolkata and is expected to be brought to Patna after obtaining transit remand, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Patna, Rajeev Mishra. The man was arrested by a team of Patna Police from Bowbazar area of Kolkata on Monday, and the mobile phone used to send the threatening email has been recovered. Rajeev Mishra said that once the man is brought to Bihar capital, he will be further interrogated.
