Man Arrested for Sending Mail Threatening to Blow Up Bihar Chief Minister’s Office admin, August 5, 2024 A man was arrested in the Bowbazar area of Kolkata for sending a threatening email on July 16. The preliminary investigation found that the accused is not connected to any terror group, despite claiming to be associated with Al-Qaeda in the email. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Patna, Rajeev Mishra, stated that the man will be brought to Patna after obtaining transit remand. It was mentioned that the man was arrested by a team of Patna Police and that the mobile phone used to send the threatening email was recovered. Mishra also mentioned that further interrogation will take place once the accused is brought to the Bihar capital.
