Man Comes Back to Kerala Village After 3 Months, Discovers 11 Family Members Deceased in Landslides

The man had never anticipated that he was bidding farewell to his family forever, never to see them again. Devastating landslides took the lives of 11 of his family members, including his father, mother, wife, children, brother, sister-in-law, and their children. Naufal, in a state of shock and heartbreak, arrived at the landslide site on a Monday, leaving onlookers in tears.

The heart-wrenching sight of Naufal, gazing at the debris and sand that used to be his home, deeply moved those around him. One of his relatives expressed, “Naufal left for Oman only three months ago. Upon his return today, he found nothing left for him…Eleven members of his family have been lost in the landslides.”

Despite learning about the tragedy a day earlier, Naufal only made it to his village on Monday. He wandered aimlessly, at times covering his face, and was often seen weeping. Consoling him proved to be a challenging task for the villagers and other relatives.
