Gurugram Police Find Crores Worth of Cannabis in Vacant House

The DLF Phase 4 crime unit team, led by Inspector Sandeep Kumar, conducted a raid at a house in Nanu Khurd village following a tip-off. On Monday night, a police team visited the locked house and contacted the homeowner, Ram Singh, a native of Daulatabad Kuni village. To break the lock, a duty magistrate was appointed and the village Sarpanch and a guard were present. The entire raid was videographed, as mentioned by the police.

During the investigation, the team discovered 762.15 kilograms of illegal marijuana in plastic sacks. Subsequently, an FIR was filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) against an unknown suspect at the Pataudi Police Station. The police are conducting raids to apprehend smugglers who stored the marijuana in the house for sale, according to an officer. Varun Dahiya, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime), stated that the estimated value of the marijuana is in crores of rupees.

Additionally, he mentioned that the house had been unoccupied for the last few years, and the owner claims never to have rented it out. The authorities are actively searching for the smugglers.
