Air India Halts Tel Aviv Flights Due to Rising Israel-Iran Tensions

Air India, a carrier owned by the Tata Group, has suspended its services from the national capital to Tel Aviv until August 8 due to the current situation in parts of the Middle East. The airline stated that it is continuously monitoring the situation and has suspended the scheduled operation of its flights to and from Tel Aviv with immediate effect.

In light of these developments, the carrier has announced that it will offer a full refund to its passengers with confirmed bookings for travel to and from Tel Aviv. This decision comes as tensions remain high in the Middle East due to the conflict between Israel and various terror groups, including Hamas.

This is not the first time that Air India has had to suspend flights to Tel Aviv due to the Middle East tensions. Earlier this year, the carrier briefly suspended its flights to the Israeli city at different points in time.

After a gap of nearly five months, Air India had recommenced its services to Tel Aviv on March 3, only to suspend them again on October 7, 2023, following an attack by the Hamas group on the Israeli city.
