Gajendra Singh Shekhawat’s Statement on Congress Leader’s Bangladesh Can Happen Here Remark: This Is Narendra Modi’s India

Union Minister Shekhawat spoke to reporters at Jodhpur airport on Saturday, expressing his disapproval of comments suggesting a Bangladesh-like situation would arise in India. Without naming anyone, he was apparently referring to recent remarks by senior Congress leaders, Salman Khurshid and Mani Shankar Aiyar, who had also compared the situation in Bangladesh with that of India. Mr. Shekhawat emphasized that India is not Bangladesh and that the government is constantly monitoring the situation in Bangladesh, ensuring that law and order is properly maintained. Regarding the allocation of four circuits to Rajasthan under the Swadesh Darshan Yojana, Mr. Shekhawat highlighted that this is just the beginning and stressed that tourism is a subject of the state government as per the Constitution.

He emphasized that collaboration with the state government is essential to enhance tourism in the region and stated that proposals from the state government regarding tourism would be considered seriously. Additionally, the Union Minister announced that a new terminal building at the Jodhpur airport will be inaugurated by the end of the year, with over 45% of its construction already completed.
