Woman’s Attempt to Attack Ex with Acid Before His Wedding in Andhra Pradesh: Police

The police registered cases against both individuals under relevant sections and subsequently arrested them. Around 11 am, Jaya, a former software engineer from Tirupati, arrived at the wedding venue in Aravapalli village in Nandalur mandal to confront Sheikh Syed, who was planning to marry another woman without her knowledge.

Jaya, who is a mother to a 22-year-old son, and Syed had been in a relationship for approximately 10 years. However, in the last three years, Syed had moved to Kuwait to work as a driver.

Upon his return to India, he was prepared to marry on Sunday. During the confrontation, Syed announced that he would not stay with Jaya.

In a fit of rage, Jaya attempted to attack him with bathroom cleaning acid, but he managed to dodge it. Instead, the acid accidentally landed on Syed’s aunt.

Fortunately, as it was bathroom cleaning acid, Syed’s aunt did not sustain any serious injuries. In response, the bridegroom retaliated with a ceremonial knife typically used as an adornment during weddings, resulting in minor injuries to Jaya, whose last name is undisclosed.
