Man arrested for allegedly raping teenage student in Maharashtra, as confirmed by police.

The accused, Amit Dubey (30), was arrested for the rape of a minor. This led to anger among the parents and relatives of the girl, who organized a protest outside the accused’s place of employment, a school. They blamed the school management for shielding him, as the girl also attended the same school.

According to senior inspector Jitendra Vankoti of Pelhar police station, the crime occurred between March and July, with the accused luring the survivor to his tuition center at home and raping her multiple times. A case was filed against Dubey under various sections of the law, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, based on the girl’s complaint. The protest by the parents led to police deployment in and around the school.

The survivor’s brother alleged that the accused had also sexually abused other students and teachers, and that the school management had been informed of his actions but chose to remain silent. The parents demanded that the school management be held accountable for shielding the accused, as they claimed that the management had not taken any action even after being informed. The protest highlighted the frustration and anger over the school’s failure to protect its students.
