Mamata Banerjee Accuses BJP of Inciting Unrest with Midnight Attack on Hospital

A recent attack on a hospital resulted in significant damage and a confrontation between the attackers and the police. The state BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari made a post on social media, accusing Mamata Banerjee of sending TMC supporters to disrupt a protest rally near the hospital. He claimed that the police allowed these individuals to enter the hospital premises and destroy potential evidence. He further accused them of being unable to carry out the plan effectively, leading to their exposure during the vandalism.

There have been repeated claims of evidence destruction in relation to the recent incident and a delay in allowing the victim’s parents to see her body. During the attack on the hospital, the group damaged various areas and equipment, leading to a confrontation with the police. The Kolkata Police reported injuries among their personnel and have since made several arrests.

Mamata Banerjee commended the police for their handling of the situation, highlighting their restraint despite being attacked and injured during the confrontation. She also described the injuries sustained by the police and their prompt medical treatment.
