Bengaluru Student Allegedly Raped by Biker after Accepting Ride from Him

The Additional Commissioner of Police (East Zone) Raman Gupta reported that a final year degree student was raped while returning home to Hebbagodi after a get-together in Koramangala. According to Mr. Gupta, the woman had accepted a lift from a man who then assaulted and raped her. He confirmed that a rape case had been registered and the investigation had commenced.

Mr. Gupta stated that it appeared the victim had attended a get-together in Koramangala and there was only one suspect, the man who had given her the lift. He also mentioned that he and other police officers had visited the scene, spoken to the victim and her relatives, gathered all relevant information, and formed five teams to carry out the investigation. He assured that the culprit would soon be arrested.
