In response to the ongoing crisis, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a ‘Red alert’ for all eight districts. The Air Force has mobilized crucial air assets to provide aid and support to the flood-stricken areas, with additional National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams being deployed. Multiple NDRF teams and relief supplies were transported to Agartala via two C-130 and one AN-32 aircraft. Helicopters have been strategically positioned to access the affected areas and conduct further relief operations. In six districts, rivers are flowing above the danger mark, leading to extensive crop damage across all eight districts. Over 65,400 people have sought shelter in 450 relief camps established by the district administration since August 19, and the affected population has surpassed 17 lakhs. Landslides have been reported in 2,032 locations, with restoration efforts underway. Similarly, 1,952 locations have experienced road erosion, with restoration undertaken in 579 locations to date. All railway services from Agartala have been suspended, and schools are closed until further notice. The disruption in telecommunication has been widespread, particularly in Gomati, South Tripura, and other flood-affected areas. The Met Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of the state, necessitating a red alert for the entire state today and in four districts for tomorrow. South Tripura
