50 Cows Thrown Into River in Madhya Pradesh, 20 Dead; Police Register Case

Preliminary reports indicate that 15 to 20 cows have died in an incident under the Nagod police station limits, which occurred on Tuesday. In response, a police team was sent to the spot to gather information, and a case was registered. Four individuals have been booked under relevant sections of the Madhya Pradesh Gauvansh Vadh Pratishedh Adhiniyam, which aims to prevent the killing of cows in the state, as well as under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, and initial information suggests that around 50 cows were involved, with 15 to 20 of them dying.

A rescue operation is ongoing, and the exact number of cows thrown into the river and their death count will be determined after an investigation.
