Ramdas Soren Sworn In as Minister of Jharkhand, Replacing Champai Soren admin, August 29, 2024 Ramdas Soren, the MLA of Ghatshila, has taken over the position of former chief minister Champai Soren in the state cabinet. The oath of office and secrecy was administered to Ramdas Soren by Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at a ceremony in Raj Bhavan. The Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, along with senior leaders of the JMM-led alliance and various government officials, were present at the event. Ramdas Soren is expected to join the BJP later in the day. Champai Soren, who recently took oath as a minister in the Hemant Soren cabinet, resigned from the JMM on Wednesday. He cited the state government’s current style of functioning and policies as the reason for his departure from the party after serving it for many years.
