Two Bodies Discovered Following Indian Coast Guard Helicopter Crash in Arabian Sea

The helicopter made an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea after saving 67 lives during a cyclonic weather event in Gujarat. Unfortunately, the bodies of Commandant Vipin Babu and P/NVK Karan Singh were recovered. The helicopter had been conducting a medical evacuation for a seriously injured crew member aboard the Indian flagged Motor Tanker Hari Leela, responding to a request from the vessel’s Master. The Indian Coast Guard had successfully rescued 11 crew members from distressed MV ITT Puma in a challenging night-time search and rescue operation.
