18-Year-Old and Her Parents Injured in Acid Attack in Nashik, Maharashtra: Police

Three victims, including a college student and her parents, are currently receiving treatment at the government hospital in Malgaon. The incident occurred around 2:30 am in the Islambad area of Malegaon in the Nashik district, where an intruder entered their home while they were sleeping.

The assailant threw hydrochloric acid on the young woman and her parents before fleeing the scene. The police have not yet identified the perpetrator or determined a possible motive.

The woman’s statement has also not been recorded. A First Information Report has been registered at Malegaon Killa police station under sections 124 (1) and 333 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, pertaining to voluntarily causing grievous hurt by use of acid and house-trespass after preparation for assault.
