Acid Attack Injures 18-Year-Old and Her Parents in Nashik, Maharashtra, According to Police

Three victims are currently receiving treatment at the government hospital in Malgaon. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 am in the Islambad area of Malegaon in Nashik district, where the young woman, who is a college student, and her parents were injured by an intruder. The assailant entered the house while they were asleep and attacked them with hydrochloric acid before fleeing the scene.

The identity of the attacker and the possible motives behind the assault are currently unknown. The woman’s statement has yet to be recorded, according to a police official. A First Information Report has been filed at Malegaon Killa police station under sections 124 (1) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by use of acid) and 333 (house-trespass after preparation for assault) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
