School Teacher in Madhya Pradesh Faces Criminal Case for Cutting Girl’s Hair While Intoxicated

District Collector Rajesh Batham has announced that a criminal case will be filed against teacher Veer Singh Medha for his misconduct. The action against Medha comes after a viral video showed him cutting a child’s hair at a government primary school in Semalkhedi. The incident took place about 40 km away from the district headquarters.

In the video, the teacher can be seen using scissors to cut the crying girl’s hair. After the video went viral, a local resident confronted the teacher and warned him against his actions. The teacher responded by saying, “You can shoot the video but nobody will be able to do anything to me.”

Tribal Department’s Assistant Commissioner Ranjana Singh has ordered Medha’s suspension following the incident. Based on the girl’s statement and preliminary investigations, the teacher was suspended. The collector has also ordered a probe into the matter.
