Women Serial Killers of Andhra Pradesh: Making Friends with Strangers and Cyanide-Laced Drinks admin, September 6, 2024 The Andhra Pradesh police have arrested three women, identifying them as the “serial killers” of Tenali. The women, Munagappa Rajini, Madiyala Venkateshwari, and Gulra Ramanamma, are accused of befriending strangers and offering them drinks laced with cyanide to steal gold, cash, and other valuables in the Tenali district. This criminal behavior resulted in the murder of four individuals, including three women. The police confirmed that the victims would perish shortly after consuming the cyanide-laced drinks, after which the perpetrators would steal their belongings. In one instance, the women murdered a woman named Nagur B and attempted to kill two others, who fortunately survived. Madiyala Venkateshwari, one of the accused, has a history of criminal activities. The 32-year-old woman served as a volunteer in Tenali for four years before allegedly being involved in cybercrime in Cambodia. Additionally, the police have apprehended a man believed to have supplied cyanide to the women. This incident in Tenali has revived memories of the Jolly Joseph cyanide killings in Kerala, where a woman was responsible for the deaths of six individuals over 14 years. The Superintendent of Police in Tenali, Satish Kumar, confirmed that the women have confessed to the crimes. Furthermore, the police have cautioned the public to exercise vigilance and avoid quickly befriending strangers, emphasizing the importance of safety and awareness.
