AAP Issues 3rd List of 11 Candidates for Haryana Legislative Assembly Elections

The party has announced its candidates for 40 out of 90 seats in the Haryana Assembly. A second list of nine candidates was released, with the notable absence of Haryana AAP president Sushil Gupta from both lists.

This follows the breakdown of seat-sharing talks with the Congress, leading to the release of the AAP’s first list of 20 candidates on Monday. In its third list, the AAP nominated Pravin Guskhani to contest against former Haryana chief minister and Congress veteran Bhupinder Singh Hooda from the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency.

Other candidates include Bheem Singh Rathi from Radaur, Amar Singh from Nilokheri, Amit Kumar from Israna, Mahender Dahiya from Jhajjar, Satish Yadav from Rewari, and Col (retd) Rajendra Rawat from Hathin. The deadline for filing nomination papers is September 12, with the assembly elections scheduled for October 5.

In a shift from their alliance in the Delhi Lok Sabha polls, the Congress and the AAP contested separately in Punjab. Although the Congress had allotted one seat to the AAP in Haryana during the LS general election, the AAP failed to secure a win in the 2019 Haryana polls, despite contesting 46 seats.
