Beant Singh and Satwant Singh, who were then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s bodyguards, assassinated her on October 31, 1984 at her residence. Sarabjit Singh Khalsa declared assets worth Rs 3.5 crore in 2014 in his election affidavit.
