Mumbai Pendant QR Code Reunites Mentally Challenged Boy with Parents admin, April 12, 2024 A child was found wandering in Colaba, a southern part of the city, on Thursday afternoon. Initially, the child was unable to effectively communicate with the people who approached him when they realized he may be lost and in distress. Eventually, he was brought to a policeman, and an alert about the missing person was sent to all police stations, but to no avail, according to an official. The child was wearing a pendant around his neck, and a police personnel found a QR code inside it. When scanned, it revealed a phone number belonging to an NGO that works with mentally unwell children. A functionary of the NGO informed the police that the child was a resident of Worli and that his parents had been searching for him since morning. Later, the child was reunited with his father at the police station, and the official expressed relief at the safe return of the child to his parents.
