Mr. Chowdhury described an incident where he was confronted by a group shouting “Go back, go back!” He claimed that he later discovered it was organized by the TMC, but emphasized that they would not succeed in stopping him. He also informed the district superintendent of police about the situation and sought intervention. In response to these allegations, the Trinamool Congress accused Mr. Chowdhury of engaging in “hooliganism” and described the incident as a display of “thuggery.” The party emphasized Mr. Chowdhury’s fear of losing elections and warned against using muscle power to intimidate their workers.
