BJP’s 2024 Manifesto Released, PM Modi Emphasizes Dignity and Quality of Life

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its eagerly anticipated manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections this morning. The manifesto focuses on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to ‘GYAN’ (the welfare of the poor, youth, farmers, and women).

PM Modi stressed that the manifesto’s core principles revolve around four pillars of Viksit Bharat – women power, youth power, farmers, and the poor. He highlighted key initiatives such as extending the free ration scheme, providing piped gas to all homes, and supplying free electricity through solar power.

The document also outlined plans to enhance self-reliance in the production of essential commodities, expand healthcare and housing programs, and ensure access to drinking water for every household. BJP President JP Nadda underscored the government’s achievements over the past decade and reiterated their commitment to fulfilling promises.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who chaired the committee responsible for drafting the manifesto, emphasized the fulfillment of the party’s pledges from the 2019 elections and the incorporation of 15 lakh suggestions from across the country in the current manifesto. In response to the BJP’s manifesto, Congress representatives criticized the BJP’s track record and labeled the manifesto as more of an “apology” than a ‘Sankalp Patra’.

They accused the BJP of failing to address key issues such as ethnic violence in Manipur and the protests in Ladakh. Overall, the BJP’s manifesto outlines a roadmap for Viksit Bharat (developed India) while emphasizing social justice and the party’s commitment to fulfilling its promises.
