Trinamool Accuses Income Tax Officials of Searching Abhishek Banerjee’s Chopper for Fish Sandwiches

The party claimed that the chopper was undergoing a trial run at Behala Flying Club for Mr. Banerjee’s visit to Haldia in Purba Medinipur when a team of IT officials arrived and extensively searched it. According to Mr. Banerjee, instead of removing the @NIA_India DG and SP, @ECISVEEP, and @BJP4India chose to deploy IT minions to search and raid the chopper and security personnel. However, no findings were reported from the search. Additionally, a frustrated team of Mr. Modi’s men allegedly did not let the chopper fly, engaging in a verbal spat and threatening to detain it illegally when asked for the reason by Banerjee’s security personnel.

The party further claimed that the IT officials opened and searched every bag and corner of the chopper. Mr. Banerjee sees these actions as evidence that the BJP is attempting to eliminate opposition in Bengal in order to regain power. He stated that TMC will confront the Bangla-Birodhi BJP and not be intimidated by such tactics carried out by central agencies on the instructions of their Delhi bosses. The Diamond Harbour MP claimed that when his security personnel videographed the raid, IT officials forcefully had it deleted.
