Salman Khan’s Mumbai Home Shot at by Lawrence Bishnoi Gang: Reports

The police have identified one of the individuals involved in a string of violent crimes as Vishal, who is reportedly associated with the notorious Bishnoi gang member, Rohit Godara. Vishal is wanted in connection with the March murder of businessman Sachin Munjal and Rohit Godara has confessed to the killing via a social media post. Both individuals were captured on CCTV footage wearing caps and carrying backpacks and firing towards an actor’s residence. They were dressed in distinct attire, with one wearing a white t-shirt paired with a black jacket and denim pants, and the other donning a red t-shirt with denim pants.

Prior to the attack, the suspects conducted a reconnaissance mission near Galaxy Apartments, the actor’s residence, before fleeing on a stolen motorcycle and then evading capture by taking a rickshaw to Bandra railway station. They have since left the city and are on the run, with their abandoned motorcycle recovered by the police a little over a kilometre from the actor’s home. After the gunfire incident, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother claimed responsibility in an online post and issued a warning to the Bollywood actor. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has offered unwavering support and a commitment to upholding the rule of law to the actor.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) revealed that the actor was a top target for jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi due to an infamous 1998 black buck hunting incident that offended the Bishnoi community. Following another threat call last year, Mumbai Police escalated the actor’s security status to Y+. These threatening incidents stem from past grievances related to the actor’s actions, and the police have been actively pursuing all leads and suspects, including issuing a lookout circular against an Indian student in the United Kingdom for allegedly sending a threatening email to the actor.
