Pakistani Woman Seema Haider Summoned After 1st Husband Appeared in Noida Court admin, April 15, 2024 Seema Haider, along with her four minor children, sneaked into India in May last year. She claims to have married Sachin Meena, her partner in India whom she met while playing the mobile game PUBG. They allege that they got married in Kathmandu during a previous meeting. Seema’s first husband, Ghulam Haider, who resides in Karachi, filed a petition in the family court in Noida through an Indian lawyer, challenging the validity of her marriage with Sachin Meena. He also contested his children’s religious conversion. Seema Haider has been summoned to appear before the court on May 27, with Ghulam Haider claiming she didn’t obtain a divorce from him and her marriage to Sachin is invalid. Ghulam Haider initially sought help from Ansar Burney, a prominent Pakistani lawyer and human rights activist, to gain custody of his four children. Burney then hired Ali Momin in India and granted him power of attorney to initiate legal proceedings in Indian courts. Seema Haider’s first husband was working in Saudi Arabia when she came to India via the UAE and Nepal. In an interview with the BBC, Seema had previously stated that she had embraced Hinduism and refused to return to Pakistan. Seema Haider asserts that her children have also embraced Hinduism, while Burney highlighted that international laws prohibit the religious conversion of underage children. PUBG
