The analysis was conducted by West Bengal Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), who reviewed self-sworn affidavits of all 47 candidates contesting from three constituencies of West Bengal – Darjeeling, Balurghat, and Raiganj. These constituencies are scheduled for polls in the second phase on April 26. Mr. Bista’s 2019 affidavit indicated assets worth over Rs 15 crore, a figure that has surged to Rs 47 crore in this election, representing a substantial increase of over Rs 32 crore.
