YouTuber Arrested For Entering Bengaluru Airport, Claims He Spent a Day admin, April 17, 2024 Vikas Gowda, a resident of Yelahanka in Bengaluru, entered the airport with a ticket for a Chennai-bound Air India flight on April 7 at around 12 pm, according to the police. They stated that he did not board the flight deliberately, but instead was roaming around the airport recording a video on his mobile phone. He subsequently uploaded the alleged video on his YouTube channel on April 12, falsely claiming that he had spent an entire day at the airport and had ventured into many areas of the airport premises while hoodwinking security. The video, which was deleted by him later, was viewed by nearly 1.13 lakh subscribers. A senior police officer revealed that Gowda had entered the airport and cleared the security check at Terminal-2 of the Kempegowda International Airport before heading towards the boarding lounge. Instead of boarding the plane, he spent nearly six hours roaming around the airport premises before leaving and telling security personnel that he had missed his flight. He went unnoticed due to having a valid ticket and boarding pass. The police officer stated that preliminary investigation indicated Gowda’s actions were for publicity and that the claims made in the video were an exaggeration. The airport security personnel became aware of the matter on April 15, leading to a case being registered against Gowda under Sections 505 and 448 of the Indian Penal Code, based on the complaint of a Central Industrial Security Force official. He was subsequently arrested but later released on bail. *This text is published from a syndicated feed and has not been edited by NDTV staff, except for the headline. * Vikas Gowda
