Cricket Board Official’s Blunt Remark On CSK Star: “Has Nothing To Learn From Playing In IPL

Mustafizur Rahman, the Bangladeshi cricketer, is currently playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2024. Originally scheduled to return to Bangladesh on May 1 as per the no-objection certificate from the BCB, his stay has been extended by a day at the request of CSK to play in an additional game against the Punjab Kings.

According to Khaled Mahmud, the BCB cricket operations chairman, Mustafizur’s learning process is over, and there are many players in the IPL who can learn from him. However, he believes that Bangladesh will not benefit from Mustafizur’s prolonged stay in the IPL.

Nonetheless, CSK is keen on having him for the additional game and is not concerned about his fitness, unlike the BCB. The BCB’s plan is to have Mustafizur back in Bangladesh for the upcoming home T20I series against Zimbabwe from May 3 to 12, followed by a T20I series against the United States of America starting in Texas on May 21.

They intend to plan his workload and ensure his fitness for these upcoming series, which will not be possible if he continues to play in the IPL.
