Arvind Kejriwal’s Diabetes: AAP Alleges “Plan to Murder Kejriwal in Jail” Amid “Eating Mangoes” Controversy

The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is facing allegations of being targeted by the BJP, with a claim that a plan is being developed to imprison him and potentially harm his health. Atishi, a spokesperson for Kejriwal, highlighted his long-term struggle with severe diabetes and his daily dependence on a high dosage of insulin. She also emphasized a court-approved dietary allowance for Kejriwal to manage his condition. Atishi accused the Bharatiya Janata Party and its affiliate, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), of attempting to compromise Kejriwal’s health.

The ED had argued in court that Kejriwal’s consumption of items like mangoes and sweets posed a risk to his health, despite being prescribed by his doctor. Atishi contested this stance, insinuating that the ED’s claims were misleading and misinformed. She stressed that the dietary regimen presented in court was misrepresented, pointing out that the items in question were consumed only on one day, during the festival of Navratri. Additionally, she criticized the ED for questioning Kejriwal’s integrity and alleged involvement in corrupt practices, which ultimately led to his arrest and subsequent legal challenges.

The situation has escalated to the point where Kejriwal has sought relief from the Supreme Court, only to be denied an expedited hearing. As a result, he is now waiting until April 29 for the court to reconvene and consider the ED’s response.
